Welcome to My Mind

I want to start this off with a welcome, a warm one at that. A lot of people think it take courage to start creative eandevors like this, but truly I make this in a moment of fear. I don’t really know what I’m doing.

As I write to you, I am 22 years old. I have come up with piles of business ideas that never came to fruition, I have had about 6 different job in several different fields, I haven’t used my degrees and I have contemplated moving out on my own with less than the price of rent for an apartment in my bank account. My life is a mess.

Despite everything, one thing has always remained true: I love to write. My writing has always been deeply personal and I have always hoarded my pieces. I sit atop mountains of poems and personal essays spanning years of stories. I recently went through all of them. Every single notebook, every random sheet of paper tossed inbetween the stacks of journals and I reflected on what past Resii was struggling with. It was one of the most eye-opening experiences I’ve had in a while. I realized that all of the trauma, every single set back was a teaching moment and it has shaped me into who I am now.

My goal with this blog is to help others in the way I helped myself. Whoever you may be, however you may identify yourself, I hope you can use my personal experiences as guidance in some way. Whether you resonate with me or not, no one is ever truly alone. If you are the type of person who struggles with expressing themselves, I hope I can be the vessel of your thoughts.

If you’re reading this, know that I am glad you’re here. Welcome to my mind. Actually – welcome to our mind.
